Diane retired from career in health care to a become a non-stop volunteer in service to the community. She maintains the
Pink Triangle Memorial Park and is a force in the Castro. The park pays homage to the more than 15,000 homosexual victims during the Nazi Holocaust. Involved in many projects in the area, she is a wonderful resource of San Francisco history and gay rights history in particular.
Solange is the proprietor of the
Cove on Castro, a neighborhood institution for a generation. The restaurant is a favorite gathering spot and is jam packed on weekends for brunch. For many years the walls were lined with 8x10 photos of locals. Currently a more streamlined look has the photos flashing on large video screens, still connecting the restaurant with the community.
